In fact, we started with S's birthday:
While waiting for Nonna and Papaw to arrive at the crack of dawn...
...S opened his birthday present.
OK, then it was on to Christmas with the boy!
In there - boots. The only real request of Santa.
The boy might have received a few more gifts.
His parents might have gone overboard.
Forgive us.
When you wait a while before having your child...
...you have a lot of pent up gift ideas. For one.
We also started buying last summer.
Ahem.
Eventually we started helping him unwrap so we could get on to breakfast.
Concurrently, he helped us unwrap our gifts after breakfast.
Riding the new horse, who has been named, "Brown"
The bacon candle
At the start of breakfast, I put a candle in a biscuit to celebrate Jesus' birthday. Later in the meal, LM decided he needed to do something to celebrate his own "birthday" and created "candles" out of bacon and stuck them in his biscuit. Three points for creativity and using what he had on hand.
Then, like I mentioned, LM helped us open our presents.
Then we all went and took a nap. That was enough!
To prove that I, too, looked fabulous.
Pretty fab new necklace, though, no?
It was a good morning, for sure.
Lots of fun memories.
See you soon.
